New Year Look & How to Attract Luck!
This comes with a belief to let the New Year in and the hopes, and prosperity that comes with it.
Coins and paper bill on the front door.
Any amount of paper bills and coins are also scattered on the front door. This is to attract prosperity on the home for the whole year.
All lights on.
Turning all the lights on is also a custom to welcome the New Year, from the sala, kitchen, garage,and all rooms of the house. This is to get rid of the negativity or whatever not so good things that had happened the previous year and to attract the "light" into the house.
Wearing red or green clothes.
People would wear green clothes (the color of money), while some would wear red, most are the Chinese. This is also to attract wealth for the New Year. Coins and paper bills of any amount are also put into the pockets to attract money. The larger the bills amount, the better.
Find the hidden treasures.
This is a game that the family can play where someone would hide different amounts of money, specially coins around the house. You can hide these from under the rugs, indoor plants, under the sofas, or anywhere you could think of that would make it somehow hard for the players to find all the coins.
